Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Clomid exactly as directed.
Your doctor will tell you how much Clomid you need to take each day.
The first course of treatment usually involves taking 50 mg (one tablet) a day for five days. If no ovulation has occurred after the first course, usually a second course of 100 mg (two 50 mg tablets given as a single daily dose) for five days is given.
Depending on the success of the treatment your doctor will determine the maximum number of treatment cycles that can be administered. The maximum number of subsequent cycles of treatment will usually be between three and six cycles of Clomid treatment. This will depend on whether treatment induces ovulation and will be determined for you by your doctor.
