Carafate
Freddy C., NY:
I was 37 when my gastroenterologist diagnosed me with duodenal ulcer. It all started as strange burning sensation in my stomach and then developed into almost unbearable pain after every meal. At that time I had constant business trips and couldn't undergo a comprehensive medical check-up. So to avoid the pain I reduced the amount of meals and gradually nearly brought myself to the grave. When I finally found myself to be exhausted, pale and looking as a walking dead, I decided it was high time to dedicate some time to my health and visit a doctor. After the diagnosis was set the doctor prescribed me with a strict diet, medication treatment course and advised me to get closer to healthy lifestyle. I did what I could - ate healthy foods, cooked more, consumed less fast food, stopped drinking wine and beer. However as it seems to me, the most effective thing that helped me gradually heal my duodenal ulcer was medicamental treatment with Carafate. This drug really made the ulcer disappear in less than half a year and according to my doctor this is a very good result at my condition. So I am grateful to Carafate.

About three years ago my daughter was diagnosed with duodenal ulcer. Being a young and active girl she suffered greatly. Now she is 24 and she has managed to overcome the disease completely. The secret is simple - she has undergone a course of medicamental treatment with Carafate. This medication together with healthy way of life and strict diet helped my daughter to get rid of the ulcer and gradually get back to normal life. Now she can eat everything and that brings no consequences to her. The medication is a very effective and trusted ulcer treatment option. Carafate works by creating a protective cover over the ulcer and therefore protecting it from harmful influence of acids and other substances. In such a way the ulcer doesn't grow, it decreases in size and is gradually healed. The medication is safe and has no side effects, at least there were none in my daughter.

When I was selecting a college to enter the most important factor for me was remoteness from my native town as I desperately wanted independence and freedom, as probably every teenager. I got the freedom but together with it I got a lot of problems to solve. I had to care about my food, clothes and health on my own, without any help from my parents. As I also had lots of friends to spend time with, lots of entertainment ideas, I tried to save time on less important duties. So instead of cooking healthy food for myself I ate fast food mostly. In a year and a half I started having strange feelings in my stomach, the feeling gradually turned into burning pain and soon the pain grew absolutely unbearable, especially after meals. My mother insisted on my visiting a doctor, so in a month I was diagnosed with acute gastric ulcer. I thought it was not a big problem - a week or two on medications and there we go - healthy and renewed again. But the diet I had to observe opened my eyes. Cereals and water, if to sum it up; everything without salt and spice. I had to choose: tasty food and horrible pain afterwards or tasteless food and hope for recovery. Luckily I had enough brain to choose the second. I was also prescribed with Carafate to provide for quicker ulcer healing. It took me lots of efforts patience and more than a year to get rid of the ulcer. Luckily it was not too bad and I managed to recover without surgery. Carafate worked out pure miracles for me! Now I am much cleverer and reasonable.

About 8 month ago I had an operation on duodenal ulcer resection. After the operation my doctor put me on Carafate treatment course. This medication greatly helped me overcome the rehabilitation period and restore my gastrointestinal tract normal functioning. It made the healing period really seamless and trouble-free for me. I have seen the sufferings of other people after such an operation as I had - they couldn't stabilize their digestive system, couldn't eat normal food for long months. Besides if the rehabilitation period id not organized properly there could be different complications, starting from regular vomiting and fatigue and up to ulcer recurrence, what is absolutely awful. It brings to nothing the effect from the operation and the result is that a person has undergone most serious treatment with invasive manioulations that could have drastic delayed consequences and the operation brought him nothing as now a new one is needed. So it is vain shock and harm for the body that is already damaged by the disease. Carafate helped me avoid all these problems, it made my post-operation period quick and easy. I am very satisfied with this medication and grateful to my doctor for the reasonable decision.

About three years ago I was diagnosed with duodenal ulcer. It was not really unexpectedly as I had suffered some 8 or 9 months from serious digestion problems before the diagnosis was stated and I was sure there was quite a problem in my body. After a course of medicamental treatment that resulted to literally nothing my doctor decided that was the time for a surgery. So I had my duodenal ulcer cut and then I was put on Carafate to support my body healing process. This medication is designed for this very purpose. It works by creating a protective cover over the operated ulcer and keeps it away from the influence of food and acids. It also prevents recurrence of the ulcer. In other words, Carafate is the best in class when it comes to ulcer treatment. For me it turned out to be a real wonder as my post-surgery period was very short and problem free. In less than two months I was allowed to eat a bit of normal food and fruit. Now I feel like an absolutely healthy person and I can eat almost everything. I had no side effects from this medication, it was a very pleasant surprise for me as during the treatment time I got used to the fact that gastrointestinal medications tend to cause nausea, diarrheas, dizziness and migraines. But with Carafate everything was so positive! I love this drug!
Olivier Roosevelt, Montreal:
Have been on Carafate for about three months after my gastroenterologist diagnosed me with acute gastric ulcer. This is quite unbearable when your gastrointestinal tract lets you down - you can not eat, can not sleep from pain, can not forget about the disease and relax. For me these months were full of pain and sufferings. I got really tired of carefully observing my daily diet and having the consequences of observing it not too carefully. Luckily my ulcer was not too neglected and a course of Carafate was enough for me to heal the ulcer and forget about stomach pain. This medication if amazing - works effectively and quickly provides real results. It creates a protective cover over the ulcer thus giving it time and opportunity to heal. This happened in my case and I am very happy that I didn't face the need of surgery, as I am really afraid of any operative treatment. So I would definitely recommend Carafate to other people diagnosed with gastrointestinal ulcers.
