Uroxatral
Uroxatral (generic name: Alfuzosin; brand name: Xatral) is an alpha-blocker for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of BPH.

Uroxatral is a medicine that you can take once a day. It offers proven symptomatic relief for BPH patients - even those with larger prostates. It improves urine flow by relaxing the smooth muscle located at the bladder neck and around the prostate.

Uroxatral is typically prescribed as a once-daily 10-mg tablet. Uroxatral can safely be administered in elderly patients and patients with ischemic heart disease, diabetes or hypertension.
Uroxatral should be taken immediately after the same meal each day. Do not take the tablet on an empty stomach.
Uroxatral tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew, crush or split the tablet.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Uroxatral, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have liver, kidney or heart problems;
you are taking antifungal drugs like ketoconazole or HIV drugs called protease inhibitors;
you are already taking an alpha-blocker either for high blood pressure or prostate problems.
