Alfusin D
Alfusin D (generic name alfuzosin / dutasteride) is indicated for the treatment of the signs and symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men.
It is a combination of alfuzosin hydrochloride (Uroxatral) and dutasteride.
Each film-coated tablet contains
alfuzosin hydrochloride BP 10mg (as extended-release)
dutasteride 0.5 mg
Alfusin D is manufactured by Cipla.
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Alfusin D exactly as directed.
The recommended dosage is one tablet daily taken immediately after the same meal each day.
The tablet should be swallowed whole and should not be chewed or crushed.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before taking Alfusin D, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have liver, kidney or heart problems;
you are taking antifungal drugs like ketoconazole or HIV drugs called protease inhibitors;
you are already taking an alpha-blocker either for high blood pressure or prostate problems.
