Accupril
Accupril (generic name: quinapril; brand names include: Accupro / Acuitel / Acupril / Asig / Filpril) belongs to a group of medicines known as angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors.
Accupril is used to lower high blood pressure (hypertension) and in the treatment of heart failure.
Accupril is available as 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg pills manufactured by Pfizer.
Recommendations
Follow the directions for using this medicine provided by your doctor. Take Accupril exactly as directed.
The usual starting dose is 5-10 mg taken once daily. Then the dose be increased up to 40 mg daily, depending on your condition.
Accupril can be taken as a single dose once daily or in 2 divided doses.
Accupril is best absorbed when taken before meals.
Precautions
Tell your doctor before Accupril, if:
you are allergic to any medicines;
you have kidney or liver problems; or diabetes;
you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
