Actoplus Met (generic name: metformin / pioglitazone) is a combination antidiabetic medicine.
Actoplus Met contains 2 antidiabetic medicines, pioglitazone hydrochloride (sold under the trade name Actos) and metformin hydrochloride (sold under the trade name Glucophage).
Actoplus Met is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and provides better control of the disease than either of the 2 ingredients alone. It is usually used in patients who require additional glycemic control.
