Benadryl
Benadryl (generic name: diphenhydramine; brand names include: Dimedrol / Genahist / Sominex / Unisom) belongs to a group of medicines known as antihistamines.
Benadryl is used to relieve allergy symptoms due to hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies (rash, sneezing, runny nose, itchy eyes, nose and throat) and symptoms due to the common cold (runny nose, sneezing).
Benadryl may also be used as a relaxation aid and used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting and dizziness caused by motion sickness.
